The only ones that should be able to own exotic animals is zoos who are qualified to properly take Care of the animals and give Them Long healthy lives. As an Italian, Spanish, German, North African that that was born and raised in America I am sickened by the left who tell me I am "white". My Fathers Italian side gets angry at it, my mothers German side gets angry at it, her Spanish side gets angry at it and dont even get me started about what it feels like to be told that having North African ancestors means nothing since it does not show on my skin. I majored in foreign languages in college so I did try a few language learning apps and Duolingo is one of them. Duolingo is okay as a supplementary source meaning it's not your main source of learning the actual language. In my case, I actually study using a book our teacher recommends which involves different aspects of language from Conversation to Grammar, Vocabs, Reading, Listening, and Writing. Yes you need to practice all of that while studying a language thus Duolingo by itself is just insufficient.

I'm honestly glad I grew out of my "parasocial relationship with celebrities" phase. I still idolize celebrities but not obsessively, not in a way my life revolves around them or that I start developing delusions about them. I still buy some of their merch (like albums or collabs with food brands) and watch the content they put out (shows, songs etc) but that's it. At some point, I just realized that instead of investing so much time and energy into them, I should just invest in myself lols.

this video reminded me of a girl I met in residential treagment who was there for anxiety caused by religious delusion/psychosis. I felt so bad for her because she was literally crippled by fear [of sinning or angering god] and so she basically had no life at all. she also had extreme anxiety every day partially because she was convinced she was going to hell- and it would often cause mental breakdowns.

I just don’t like that it was kind of inaccurate for physically developed kids. I was tall for my age, but it still called me overweight even though I definitely wasn’t.
